You cannot move items from ATMA to the caharacter during gaming. Just dump them into some corner where they can expire. So you must get rid of those items in the game. (2) You don't need to close ATMA but close the character at least so that you don't mess with D2's character saves. D2 stores the character file once in a while and you might need to play more after finding the item(s) you want to stash so that D2 has made the save. (1) If those items you want to move to ATMA stash doesn't apper on the character switch back to D2 and game on. In D2 dump those items that you moved to your ATMA stash.
